Tyndall Gorge

Sunday we hiked into Tyndall Gorge, which is about 2 miles in, and passes several mountain lakes. The lakes are all fed from a stream that originates at the Tyndall Glacier at the top of the gorge.


This is Nymph Lake, the first lake we passed.

Later that day we hiked up to The Crater, looking for Big Horn Sheep. The entire area in the Crater and Specimen Mountain is closed to travel to help keep their habitat unobstructed from excessive amounts of people running around. Unfortunately all we say were a couple of elk, no sheep.
